Description



New Order was comprised of Bernard Sumner (guitar, vocals), Stephen Morris (drums), Peter Hooks (bass) and Gillian Gilbert (keyboards). A Manchester, U.K. based band, New Order was formed in 1980 by the remaining members of Joy Division after lead singer Ian Curtis' suicide. They went on to develop a groundbreaking sound mixing synthesizer-driven pop, electronic dance beats and alt-rock, releasing five influential albums during the '80s that changed the course of alternative music.

Collected here is all of the remastered collector's edition versions of the first five New Order albums recorded while they were signed to Tony Wilson's Factory Records label in Manchester, England. These five albums are considered to be the best music of New Order's career as well as some of the best music released in the 80's. All five original albums have been remastered and each has a bonus disc of additional rarities including non-album singles, B-sides and alternative versions. Enjoy!
