To make matters worse, after injecting herself with information, naming all the Seris drug cartel’s agents, Jan’n’s partner turns on her. Under orders from the leader of the cartel, he drugs and sells her to a slave trader.

Meanwhile, Kayvaun D’Los, a young Azul businessman with the face of an angel and a body gorgeous enough to have been carved from marble, is on his first trip for the family business when he begins to suffer mating pains.

Now, a billion miles from home and his body tearing itself apart, Kayvaun decides to alleviate the pains, and circumvent the ‘uniting’ by purchasing a beautiful, unconscious female slave with feline eyes and white hair. Only after it’s too late, does he realize he’s just mated with the kidnapped agent.

As an angry Jan’n prepares to fly back to agency headquarters with her information, and Kayvaun gets ready to continue his journey, they both make upsetting discoveries. Despite being of different species, the transformations are beginning to take place. While his brain chemistry is changing to match Jan’n’s, her body goes into overdrive every time he gets close.

Now, while fighting off Seris assassins and an ex-partner bent on murder, Jan’n and Kayvaun try to deal with their bodies’ hunger for each other and the emotional gulf created by the circumstances that brought them together.
