At just 16 years old, Nicholas is one of the youngest singers in this years’ competition. He grew up
in Motherwell, Scotland where opportunities to become a huge star are few and far between,
which is why he has been waiting to audition for The X Factor since he was just a wee 12-year-old.
As he got older, Nicholas (who is known to his friends as Nicky) began playing local gigs, with his dad
coming along to support him. Now, his parents and his sister will be following him down to London
to cheer him along in the live shows.

his audition was broadcast
