Option 2 to disable popping up of the Norton Account and Registration nag screen: * Add the following lines to the hosts file at e.g. C:Windowssystem32driversetc >> Note that you may need to edit the hosts file using an Administrator account. 1. By default the hosts file is set to 'Read-only'. To be able to save changes of the hosts file UNcheck the 'Read-only' box at file properties: right-click on the hosts file, choose 'Properties', and UNcheck 'Read only'. 2. Open the hosts file with Notepad: right-click on the hosts file and choose 'Open with Notepad'. (Make sure that the box 'Always open with' is UNchecked, so that the hosts file is opened just once with Notepad.) 3.
