Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan inherited his Qawalli party, a band, from his father who passed away when Nusrat was 16 years old. His first performance was at his fathers funeral. Eventually he became The King of Kings of Qawwali a highly esteemed and inspirational figure.
But his legacy was not only great in the Muslim world. He collaborated with Michael Brook , solicited by Peter Gabriel, and released the album Musst Musst in 1990 – which was voted one of the top albums of the nineties
