Oasis - Definitely Maybe (BrickwallHater Remaster) (Size: 388.79 MB)
Description
What we have here is one of the first ever albums to utilise brickwall limiting.
This process, and album was infamous for the beginning of what we now know as the loudness war. The album following this one, What's The Story Morning Glory, pushed loudness limits even more higher, especially for 1995. But the truth is, the loudness war really was born on Definitely Maybe. Most people don't seem to realise that. I think it is because Morning Glory had twice the distortion, it was more easy to give it hate for that. With that out of the way, I think my remaster of Definitely Maybe will be the best the album may ever sound outside the studio or wherever rough or unmastered copies may lie for a long time. The brickwalling is gone now. Open your ears now to a listenable version of one of the most classic and revolutionary debut albums ever created. Tracks 12 and 13 are bonus tracks: a remix of both Rock n Roll Star and Live Forever from the Rock Band multitracks, just to add something a little extra.
