The digital noise is actually grain... from the source material... I might be wrong, but I think it comes from the transfer of content from the celluloid to the digital media devices, such as Blu-Ray discs.

I understand it might be distracting, but we have to deal with it. We got it for free, after all.

sorry dude but you have been dropping the ball with these old movies, i cant download anymore b/w movies from you anymore, you need to recheck the movies before releasing them,they are unwatchable, so much digital noise its not funny.
