Abigail Pogrebin is an American writer known for her first book, Stars of David: Prominent Jews Talk About Being Jewish, (2005). She moderated four evenings at the 92nd Street Y with Jewish celebrities from her book, including Jason Alexander, Leonard Nimoy, Beverly Sills, Morley Safer, and Kyra Sedgwick.



She has written for magazines such as Harper’s Bazaar, New York Magazine, Good Housekeeping, Salon, and Parents.



She was one of the original producers of the Charlie Rose show on PBS and produced Bill Moyers’ series on the 1992 election: “Listening to America.” She then became an associate producer for Ed Bradley at 60 Minutes then became a producer, also producing pieces for Mike Wallace as well as Bradley. She was nominated for an Emmy for her “60 Minutes” profile of Candice Bergen.
