The movie adaptation of the hit Onechanbara video game series! In the year 20XX, scientifically created zombies roam the world in record numbers. Despite this, Aya is determined to track down her father's killer, a person who was once close to her. With sword in hand and wearing nothing but her trademark bikini and cowboy hat, she sets off to settle the score. Aya is joined on her path to vengeance by the chubby Katsuji and the gun-toting Reika. Together, they hack, slash, and shoot their way through a sea of the undead to reach the final showdown with a mad scientist and the destined duel with Aya's own sister. Plot summary

Bikini-clad zombie slayer Aya is back for a second movie! The popular video game heroine hacked and slashed her way to a feature film in 2008 starring Otoguro Eri. There are hot new slayers in the house for the equally entertaining 2009 sequel OneChanbara The Movie - vorteX (a.k.a. Chanbara Beauty The Movie - vorteX), but the premise and characters stay the same. Pin-up model Tejima Yuu steps in as the new Aya, complete with fur-trimmed bikini, cowgirl hat, and extra-long katakana. She is joined in her scantily clad zombie-slicing adventures by Ozawa Akari, Kawamura Rika, and Imura Kumi.

Aya, a woman skilled with swords and possesses the cursed blood of the Imichi wanders through the silent streets, clearing zombies in her way along with her sister Saki. While fending off attackers, they encountered Misery, a mysterious woman who knows the mystery behind the zombie outbreak. She asked Aya and Saki to assist her in her goal to stop an organization who killed Saki's parents and is behind the volleys of zombies.Willing to help Misery and end the catastrophe, Aya and Saki got caught into a one-sided situation and later unfolds the secret of the organization.

Though Oneechanbara Vortex is the sequel to the first movie, the characters are different and the story has no relation with the first movie.
