If you have error during copy, eject and re-connect the pen drive. When Windows asks if you want to format it, cancel and run Image Writer again.

How about UEFI boot? as some of us might know uefi boot from fat32 if we don't change the bios to legacy....

so what I want to know is can I copy the os x files to a fat32 usb thumb drive and it work??

it boots from an efi partition in uefi mode or legacy from the partition itself with chameleon via boot1 that is inside the efi partition. for more details read the description. as you may know, the efi partition is fat32.
