Thomas, that;s funny, I kind of have to agree with you. Nicolas Cage's movies kind of all suck the last 10 years. I honestly can't remember the last good movie I have seen with him other then, The Rock, Gone in 60 Seconds, and Con Air.
This was an okay sort of movie. Kind of cheesy.

Hayden Christensen did a great job acting
but I think Nicolas should take a break from certain roles
I love him in certain films but this could have been great without him in it.
This was not right role for him at all. Damn money clouds peoples judgement.
