Pallbearer - Foundations of Burden (2014)

Pallbearer is a doom metal band from Central Arkansas, formed in 2008 after spending time playing in various bands around the Little Rock underground metal scene. Following Pallbearer's excellent 2012 debut Sorrow and Extinction, the Arkansas doom metal band has announced its next record. Foundations of Burden will be out August 19 in North America, August 22 in Europe, and August 25 in the UK via Profound Lore, with a later release in Japan to be confirmed. That's the cover art, above, by Animetalphysical. Foundations of Burden was recorded and mixed by Billy Anderson (Sleep, Eyehategod, Red House Painters). Sorrow and Extinction earned the distinction of Best Metal Album of 2012 from Pitchfork's metal column Show No Mercy.
