DescriptionPavel Tsatsouline, Chairman of StrongFirst, Inc. (born August 23, 1969 in Minsk, USSR) is a fitness instructor from the former Soviet Union. He holds a degree in Sports Science from the Physical Culture Institute in Minsk. He is involved with the evolving field of martial arts fitness and is a proponent of the kettlebell as an exercise and strengthening tool. In 1998, Tsatsouline became the kettlebell instructor in the United States. In the 1980s, Tsatsouline was a physical-training instructor for Spetsnaz, the elite Soviet special-forces units. In 2001, Tsatsouline was voted a "Hot Trainer" by Rolling Stone. He has published articles in Milo magazine and Performance Press, as well as being the author of several books on stretching and strength training. In 2012, Pavel left the RKC and formed a new company, StrongFirst, dedicated to the pursuit, development, and acquisition of strength. "In From Russia With Tough Love, Pavel Tsatsouline presents a masterful treatise on a superb old-time training tool and the unique exercises that yielded true strength and endurance to the rugged pioneers of the iron game. Proven infinitely more efficient than any fancy modern exercise apparatus, the kettlebell via Pavel’s recommendations is adaptable to numerous high and low rep schemes to offer any strength athlete, bodybuilder, martial artist, or sports competitor a superior training regimen. As a former International General Secretary of the International All-Round Weightlifting Association, I not only urge all athletes to study Mr. Tsatsouline's book and try these wonderful all-round kettlebell movements, but plan to recommend that many kettlebell lifts again become part of our competitions!" "This book is an old, but new approach to physical conditioning based on the official Soviet Army conditioning system by a Russian Special Forces trainer. Kettlebells are different in that they offer a tremendous cardiovascular effect while building strength. They are inexpensive compared to various other systems that offer comparable benefit and can be used in small spaces." (sourced from wikipedia and reviews) Related Torrents
