1.put the d3d9 into your game directory if the game is not starting\n
2.put the render_setting.xml file in drive c - users - appdata - local - payday 2 it works on low end pc with no lag \n
3.put all the multiplayer files into game directory. this is new fix and will work.

IT worked for me I installed a fresh copy of payday 2 on program files x86 and i started updating from update 2 the game is already updated to first update

It is a folder in the c drive
I usually have errors when installing games other than this directory \n
any way install a fresh payday 2 copy, start updating from 2nd update, apply multiplayer fix then enjoy
