But what I don't understand is that Americans want to have a car that looks like a Abrams tank for (what they use as an excuse) their safety (not for the safety of those who don't have such a car btw), but do not want a house that provides at least the slightest protections against hurricanes. They keep building houses from no more than wood. One piece of wood flying around at 200MPH causes other pieces of wood to fly around at that speed when it hits another wooden house. This causes damage in an exponential way until there's nothing left standing. They should at least try bricks for a change.
