Description

Pearl Jam's self-titled 2006 release is by far, the absolute loudest Pearl Jam CD I ever heard...it was another horrendous case of the "loudness war". Backspacer, the album that followed this one, was mastered loudly too... but its quieter than this loud monster. This album had quite a bit of low-end in it, and had a dull sound to it. So I brightened up the sound a bit, along with restoring what I could to get the sound quality to good levels. Doing this has changed the album's sound...and I mean that in a good way. It sounds brighter, there's more clarity, guitars sound more crisp, and the drums have more kick, and no more loudness!
