Limited two CD release in special packaging. 2011 release from Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe (AKA Pet Shop Boys) , the music for their first ever full-length ballet, The Most Incredible Thing is a collaboration with choreographer Javier De Frutos and Britain's leading contemporary dance theatre, Sadler's Wells. Based on the Hans Christian Anderson story of the same title. Tennant and Lowe proposed Andersen's story as the basis for a new ballet to Sadler's Wells in London in 2007 after a friend, the then Royal Ballet principal, Ivan Putrov, asked Neil Tennant if Pet Shop Boys would consider writing a piece of music for him to dance to at Sadler's Wells. The story is about a competition in a mythical kingdom where the King announces that whoever invents the most incredible thing will win the hand of the Princess in marriage and half of the Kingdom. What follows is creative, destructive but ultimately happy.

Excellent quality download , at very fast speed. This is without a doubt ballet at times but you can still feel the pop synthetic workings of Neil and Chris resounding in each song. Well written piece of musical mastery arranged in such a way that even the non ballet fan could enjoy the music. While some will not like this since they are seeking the popular PSB style they forget it is a ballet and only draws on their tech synthetic pop sound to create a rhythm and style unique to this pop duos original brilliance. I recommend this 2 CD set for several reason and not just because it's PSB. No more then that it is proof that music artist can create more then lyrical twist and catchy beats. No they can create a sound that leaves you feeling the music as though you were running your fingers over the keyboards of life or down the curved front bonnet of a new Ferrari.. A wonderful combination of sensation and sound are combined here to create this fantastic CD set... Grab and enjoy you'll be glad you did in the long run...
