From Wiki:

Peter John Murphy (born 11 July 1957) is an English rock vocalist. He was the vocalist of the rock group Bauhaus, and later went on to release a number of solo albums, such as Deep and Love Hysteria. Thin, with prominent cheekbones, a baritone voice, and a penchant for gloomy poetics, Murphy is often called the "Godfather of Goth."

Murphy was born near Northampton, England, and raised in Wellingborough, England. Bauhaus were one of the establishing acts of the goth movement.[citation needed] Their use of spacey recording effects and theatrical aesthetics was evocative of glam rock; they became an influential group in the early days of gothic rock.[citation needed]

In 1983, Bauhaus appeared during the opening sequences of the horror film The Hunger, performing one of their most popular songs, "She's In Parties". The camera focused almost exclusively on Murphy during most of the scene, panning only briefly to the stars David Bowie and Catherine Deneuve. Bauhaus reformed in 1998 for a tour.

Love Hysteria 1988

Love Hysteria is the second album by the British solo artist Peter Murphy, formerly of the gothic rock band Bauhaus. It was released in 1988. The album was largely written with former B-Movie keyboard player Paul Statham, who had joined Murphy's band, The Hundred Men.[1] It was produced by former member of The Fall, Simon Rogers.

A review at the time of its release in Underground described the album as "a coherent, tuneful package with tracks that are, on the whole, pretty listenable".[2] Ned Raggett, writing for Allmusic, identified a continuing David Bowie influence, but stated that the album "shows Murphy fully coming into his own as a performer".[

Dust 2002

Dust was Peter Murphy's sixth studio album, released in 2002. Murphy collaborated with the Turkish artist Mercan Dede on the album Dust. Heavily steeped in traditional Turkish instrumentation and songwriting, coupled with Dede's trademark atmospheric electronics, the album showed Murphy all but abandoning his previous pop and rock incarnations. Dust, released on goth/industrial stalwart label Metropolis Records, alienated many fans who had expected a more uptempo Murphy album (especially post-Recall), but it garnered some critical praise. Peter Murphy considers it his most unique work to date and is most proud of the song "Your Face" from the album. Ninth 2011

Ninth is the ninth solo and eighth studio album by Peter Murphy. It was released on June 7, 2011 on Nettwerk Records.[5] The first single to be released from the album was "I Spit Roses" coupled with "The Prince & Old Lady Shade", which was released March 22, 2011.[6]
Speaking with the Los Angeles Times about the album, Murphy said "The whole intention was to really reference that spark and crackle of people playing together in a room. It's about time I reclaimed my legacy . . . It's going 'OK, this is how it's done.' You don't have to spend three years and $4 million on an album. Listen to this. It's full of swagger and immediacy."[7] Speaking with Wired News Murphy described the album as "a continuation of the Go Away White trajectory, it has testosterone pouring out of it. At the same time, it's as beautiful as any female siren."

The Allmusic review by David Jeffries awarded the album 4 stars stating "It’s all put together in a right-sized package, too, with no filler to speak of, then wrapped in warm production from David Baron, who finds the proper balance of shadows and light. “The Godfather of Goth” sounds like the genre’s savior here, coming on strong with those Bowie-sized aspirations and nailing that attractive Nosferatu-meets-Art-School style."

Writing for Pop Matters, critic Maria Schurr said "Ninth has a few overindulgently drony moments, but for the most part it is a virile return to form." and gave the album a 7/10 rating.
Writing for Consequence of Sound, critic David Buchanan said "the album’s music lingers in a sonic age when Joy Division still reigned supreme" and gave the album a 3.5/5 rating.
Critic Jeff Miers said "The first thing you notice about the album is the visceral power of the recording, which producer David Baron has configured as both fittingly modern and timelessly post-rock." in a review for the Buffalo News of New York.

Tracks:

1. "Velocity Bird" – 2:53
2. "Seesaw Sway" – 4:15
3. "Peace To Each" – 3:40

6. "Memory Go" – 4:03
