This is a great album-angular jazz-tinged vocals not a million miles removed from John Martyn, compelling lyrics and perfect production. The fact that he has been recognized by artists ranging from Leonard Cohen to Steve Morse is by itself quite telling.

From what I read he left commercial music and now hosts in-home dinner evenings monthly where he performs for those with enough refined taste to support artists like this. I cannot vouch for his cooking, but if it is one fifth as good as his music it would still be formidable.
