Description

Phoenix is an Australian television dramaprogram produced and screened by the ABC (Australian BroadcastingCorporation) during the early 1990s.

Phoenixran for two seasons, and centred on the activities of Melbourne's MajorCrime Squad. The first season dealt with the investigation of an urbanterrorist car bombing which claimed the lives of two police officers.

Phoenixwas inspired by the events surrounding the Russell Street bombing in1986 in which a car bomb claimed the life of a Victorian Policewoman.
