EDIT: vcredist_x86.exe is missing,

download it at http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/4413251Disclaimer: I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY MALFUNCTIONS OF YOUR PHONE. THIS MAY VOID YOUR WARRANTY. DO THIS PROCEDURE

AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!Requirements:

Windows XP (vista has some problems with the phoenix and patch)

Phoenix software (provided here..)

your phone and cable

The flashing basics:

-Back up your phone using pc suite and then save the backup file in a USB or somewhere you think its safe (No, not in your grandma's underpants )

-Uninstall all nokia related softwares and drivers including PC suite

Go to Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs -> uninstall any programs with

nokia in its name

Delete all temporary files in the temporary folder

Using IE, Tools -> Internet options -> delete files

Go to C:Program filesCommon Files and look for the nokia folder, DELETE IT

Also delete C:Program filesnokia

Clean your registry using your favorite registry cleaner

restart your PC... here we go

Install these files in order, link is attached below

1) msxml6_x86.msi

2) vcredist_x86.exe

for some, these two files above, you may have a better version so just use them, no need to install these above

3) Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver.msi

4) Nokia Flashing Cable Driver.msi

5) Nokia Service Tool Drivers.msi

6) Phoenix Service Software.msi (Version 2008 )

Don't Run it yet!!!

7) Run the Phoenix 2006 2008 patch.. its gonna say "cant find.. blah blah" but that's ok..

Install the respective RM-XXX firmware (e.g. for N95 8gb its RM-320) NOTE: make sure its for your country or else your internet connection in your phone wont connect..

Now open Phoenix

VOILA! no dongle needed!!!

If it asks you to create a login account then do so

Go to File -> Manage Connections -> New -> Tick "USB" -> next -> after scanning ** Finish

Now you'll be back in the Manage connections window

select USB -> Apply -> Close

Back to the FILE menu, choose scan product

then you'll notice that the menu bar has changed

at the menu, select flashing -> firmware update
