Description

Adobe Photoshop (Taller de Fotos) es una aplicación informática en forma de taller de pintura y fotografía que trabaja sobre un "lienzo" y que está destinado para la edición, retoque fotográfico y pintura a base de imágenes de mapa de bits (o gráficos rasterizados).


Entre las principales novedades en este Photoshop se destacan

Mejoras en la barra de herramientas y el espacio de trabajo: no era algo que necesitase mejorar Adobe, pero ahora es aún más manejable, intuitivo, completo y, sobre todo, personalizable. Nuevos accesos directos y una organización mejorada de las herramientas que ayudarán a un cambio rápido de tipo de trabajo y que no supone, en caso de usuarios familiarizados con el programa, un cambio significativo en el entorno gráfico.


Herramienta 'Content-Aware' (Relleno con contenido): es la novedad más popular de Photoshop CS5. Con ella se mejora y facilita la usabilidad de retoque gracias a que, de manera más sencilla que CS4, pueden sustituirse elementos de una imagen por partes de fondo que rodean a esos elementos. El resultado es muy bueno y no requiere mucha destreza, por lo que muchos ya se atreverán a profundizar más el retoque de sus fotos. Para los que están familiarizados con Photoshop, vendría a ser una versión mejorada del tampón y los pinceles correctores de versiones pretéritas, en la que seguirán usando selecciones, pinceles y máscaras, pero tardando mucho menos y con un resultado muy bueno.


CS5 también permite trabajar en el diseño de imágenes 3D así como la función para tratamiento de fotografías HDR (imágenes de alto rango dinámico) mejorada. El HDR se ha hecho más manejable y para aquellos que son usuarios más acostumbrados ha añadido nuevas funciones de manera que la imagen gane en realismo, matices, detalles y fuerza, gracias a los obtenidos de la propia exposición en el momento de tomar la foto.

Mejora en las máscaras: pelo, humo, césped, ramas... Cualquier elemento con contornos complicados siempre han sido objetivo de Adobe. En CS5 encontrarás nuevas funcionalidades encaminadas a este tipo de selecciones compleja de bordes.

Funcionalidades que recuerdan a Illustrator: CS5 incluye opciones para trabajar con anclas de un modo parecido a como se hacía con programas encaminados al diseño de vectores, imágenes empleadas especialmente en publicidad.

Funciones para corregir defectos de imágenes captadas con cámaras o lentes no soportadas en el programa.

Carencias en Camera Raw: Adobe no ha incluido la mejora en las máscaras y otras opciones, como la corrección de la línea de horizonte, en Camera Raw.

Programas auxiliares

Adobe Photoshop CS5 viene acompañado por otros dos: Bridge CS5, que permite múltiples opciones de almacenamiento y catalogación de imágenes del usuario, y Camera Raw 6, que permite trabajar con imágenes en formato del mismo nombre (con mucha información y sin haber pasado por filtros digitales de la cámara) haciendo especialmente hincapié en la eliminación de elementos distorsionadores, especialmente en bordes y fondos con grano.
