Picnic – A Breath of Fresh Air is a sampler issued by the Harvest Records label, originally released in 1970 and notable for including the previously unreleased Pink Floyd song, "Embryo".

History
EMI Records launched the Harvest label in 1969 to take advantage of the progressive rock market, and like many record labels at the time, they produced a budget-priced showcase album of their artists. Their roster of artists was large and interesting enough to support a double album retailing at 29s/11d (approximately £1.50/$3.00 in 2007). The result was an eclectic mixture of traditional folk, hard rock, psychedelia and obscurities.

I got this as a present (!) recently from a record collector who had more than one copy of it. I'd say the records are VG+ to EX-, so they were in a well listenable and enjoyable shape.
It's good, thick, heavy vinyl that's made to last. Laminated Cover.

Copyright info on record and playing/storing instructions on inner sleeve are in german.
It is printed in Germany aswell.
Curious is that the only uncredited on the sleeve is the Pink Floyd Song on Side 1.
Other Copies of this Album have the "Embryo" credited aswell, so this is surely no 1st pressing.
Is this a consequence of an intervention of the Pink Floyd Management?

Don't even consider selling this. This is a fan made recording of copyright material made for free trade among fans. And if you're one of those roio "labels" that, swear to Floyd, never sell anything but then grab only the reduced CD version (instead of the high res) to 'reissue' and then write up new notes that omit all lineage and mastering info but claim 'new transfer' and 'best sounding' and read like a used car salesman script… Honestly, what's up with that?

Please do not convert to lossy formats like MP3 to redistribute. Someone down the line will thank you.
If you want to transfer this to DVD-A or Blu-ray lossless audio, please make sure the transfer is perfectly lossless.
