They're jovial and chatty fun as there set begins, and it's great to
see and listen to. There "been all around the world" is new and brilliant.
Then they lay into the heavy meat of there songs, and unload with full force.
I loved that they played "sad punk." They were really "on" and got deep
into it, this night. They prove themselves to be America's best and most
interesting band, right here. This is the best of there three concert dvd's.
It's wild to see them in the bonus 1986 concert (on bad tape) looking so young,
yet sounding so good. A real treat. Pixies ecstacy. If you're into good music, get this.

Mniej znana w Polsce grupa rockowa,jednak bardzo ładnie grają.

Pixies – zespół rockowy założony w Bostonie w 1986 roku. Znacznie wyprzedzali swój czas,
ich wpływ jest widoczny szczególnie w ostatnich latach, kiedy to w utworach bardzo wielu
zespołów indie rockowych można zauważyć inspirację muzyką tego kwartetu. Do fascynacji
muzyką Pixies przyznawał się między innymi Kurt Cobain, uznając ją za najważniejszą inspirację
dla twórczości Nirvany. Wśród admiratorów zespołu byli także David Bowie, PJ Harvey, U2,
The Strokes oraz Radiohead, którego lider Thom Yorke powiedział, że "gdy był w szkole Pixies
zmieniło jego życie". Charakterystycznymi cechami Pixies są: prosta melodia, melodyjne, popowe
refreny, gitarowe zgrzyty, wrzaskliwy/zawodzący wokal Black Francisa, śpiewny Kim Deal oraz surrealistyczne,
pełne niezrozumiałych metafor teksty.
