A BBC 2 PLAYHOUSE sub-strand, THE MIND BEYOND was six episodes which ran from 29 September to 3 November 1976.

All the stories are good (in an open ended, hmmm... Pointless, kind of way) except STONES which is absolutely wretched.

Best of the bunch is the first. MERIEL, THE GHOST GIRL succeeds through it's sheer oddity. I mean, how often can you find Donald Pleasence and Janet Street-Porter (or Janny Shtrait-Pawuh as NOT THE NINE O'CLOCK NEWS would have her) on the same bill?
