Despite Metin2 being a game that is showing its age, it is still wildly popular in many countries. One such country is Germany. Also home to Metin2 publisher Gameforge, Germany's Metin2 DEMetin2 DE boasts 24 servers. Compare that to Metin2 USMetin2 US, which has 2.

In lieu of this, German gaming publication PC Games' late october issue of their print magazine will have a large portion dedicated to Metin2. Here's a preview of what the cover should look like:

How large a portion? The content is still subject to alteration and proofreading, but at the moment the page count sits at 84. This coverage will cover everything to get players started in Metin2, including a general guide to the game, a rundown of all the character skills, maps of the game's world, the game's story, tips and tricks, explanations of events and a troubleshooting FAQ.

If that weren't enough, the magazine will also come with a DVD from which readers may install the Metin2 DEMetin2 DE client. As a final cherry on the top, readers will also get a large poster showing maps of the game world on one side, with a fancy picture of some jewelry in the reverse.

The other thing, which is (at least for now) also related to the magazine promotion is the white lion.

Apart from how it looks, and the fact that it should work in a similar way to the other mounts via tokens, the statistics are still up for negotiation between publisher and developer. We're told that it will be notably more powerful than the regular mounts, though.

Those who buy a copy of the magazine will find a coupon code which they can redeem ingame, and it should allow them to ride the white lion. Currently there is no concrete information on when or whether this new mount might arrive on Gameforge Metin2 USGameforge Metin2 US or Metin2 UKMetin2 UK. Metin2 PLMetin2 PL players might not have to hold their breath so long though ;)

The issue is due on Wednesday October 27th. We'll see if we can get a copy after it hits the shelves in Germany, in which case we'll show you any interesting parts.
