Alla fine di una guerra secolare tra uomini e vampiri, il mondo conosciuto è completamente scomparso.
Al suo posto, macerie e rovine delle vecchie città industriali, mentre l'ultima roccaforte dell'umanità è rappresentata da un Ordine religioso filocristiano,
che evidentemente ha scopi ben diversi dall'unione dei popoli, ovvero il controllo del mondo.
I superstiti dell'ultima guerra tra umani e vampiri vivono una città costellata da barricate e protezioni, dove la Chiesa ha il controllo di ogni cosa.
Tutto cambia per Ivan Isaacs, quando un branco di vampiri autonomi rapisce sua nipote appena diciottenne.
Il sacerdote e cacciatore di vampiri, infrangendo gli ordini della sua stessa organizzazione,
esce dalla città per dare la caccia ai rapitori di sua figlia, dando vita a un'estenuante caccia al vampiro.
Ma fuori dalle mura della città non vi è più traccia di passaggio umano, solo un'infinita steppa abitata da vampiri.
Ad affiancare Ivan nella sua avventura, anche il fidanzato della nipote, lo sceriffo di un avamposto locale e una sacerdotessa dotata di notevoli abilità nel combattimento...

The film, directed by Scott Stewart, is loosely based on the Korean comic of the same name.
In an alternate world, humanity and vampires have warred for centuries.
After the last Vampire War, the Catholic priest and veteran Warrior Priest (Bettany) live in obscurity with other humans inside one of the Church's walled cities.
When the Priest's niece (Lily Collins) is kidnapped by vampires, the Priest breaks his vows to hunt them down.
He is accompanied by the niece's boyfriend Hicks (Cam Gigandet), who is a wasteland sheriff, and a former Warrior Priestess (Maggie Q)...
