opis:

A research team finds a mysterious cylinder in a deserted church. If opened, it could mean
the end of the world.

Ojciec Loomis (Donald Pleasence), po śmierci jednego z zakonników, odnajduje stare
lochy, w których uwięzione jest zło w postaci słoika z zielonym płynem. Jak się okazuje
było ono strzeżone przez sektę zakonników o nazwie "Bractwo Snów". Po śmierci ostatniego
ze strużów dochodzi do komplikacji. Wtedy Loomis zwraca się z prośbą o pomoc do profesora
Howarda Biracka, który przyjeżdża do parafii ze swoimi najzdolniejszymi studentami.
Zaczynają oni badać tajemnicze zjawiska, które mają miejsca w okolicach kościoła. Wkrótce
dochodzi do pierwszych zbrodni, które zwiastują nadejście szatana.
