The band that was to become SPHERE 3 (aka SPHERE CUBED) was formed in the 1990s as a five member prog rock band with vocals but later changed into an instrumental quartet that played fusion of several genres. The band recorded some cassettes and EP's in their early days but their first album 'Comeuppance' was released in 2002 with the line-up that still holds up to this day: guitarist Steve ANDERSON, bassist William BURNETT, keyboardist Neil DURANT from IQ and drummer Jamie FISHER (also a former member of a GENESIS tribute band). The band only has one album but is known for it's strong live performances, both on their own and along with other acts like IQ, MAGNUM, FOCUS and THE FLOWER KINGS.
