Game Description:
Tecmo's arcade hit Dead or Alive comes to the PlayStation. Choose from 11 different characters each with smooth, realistic character models, unique moves, and combinations that are easy to execute with the punch, kick, and hold control scheme. The hold button adds a new level of strategy to the game, as it allows the player to stop the opponent's attack and pull off a counterattack. Danger zones add another piece of strategy; when a player is knocked down in a danger zone, he or she suffers massive damage. After winning the martial arts tournament in the Arcade mode, players are awarded one of 84 costumes for their characters. If the Arcade mode is not to your liking, try the Kumite, Survival, or Team Battle modes. Should your friends question your supremacy, take them out with the versus mode. Dead or Alive brings new levels of strategy to the PlayStation
