For a long time, I was dissatisfied with the sound
of the reissues of Ormandy's magnificent 1960 recordings
of the Rachmaninov / Casella works offered here (I won't
mention them here because they're "history" anyway).
To make a long story short, I eventually found a "two-eye"
disc of these recordings (that is, as close to the original as
possible). Yes, it definitely sounds as I projected in my mind
that it would. So - here it is ... before it was tampered with.
