The first Live Lounge sessions started ten years ago on Jo Whiley’s show, and are still going strong today under the watchful eye of Fearne Cotton, attracting the best acts in the world. The bands and artists perform their own track, and a cover version. The tracks are live and stripped down, showing the true quality of the musicianship and craft of the song. The Best of BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge is a veritable ‘who’s who’ of music from the last ten years and includes tracks from Adele, Foo Fighters. Kings of Leon, Lady Gaga, Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, Elbow, Black Eyed Peas as well as the previously unreleased Leona Lewis track "Run", one of the most requested Live Lounge sessions ever - and which directly led to Leona recording her own studio version which reached number one in 2008.
