Rebound or Les Revenants

Het rustige leven in een dorpje in de Franse Alpen wordt ruw verstoord: meerdere inwoners van wie iedereen dacht dat ze dood waren, keren plotseling terug naar huis.
Ze maken een versufte indruk en realiseren zich zelf niet dat ze inderdaad al jaren geleden waren overleden. Het bizarre is ook dat ze er volkomen normaal uitzien.
Ze zijn uiterlijk geen dag ouder geworden en hebben geen enkel besef van hun eigen sterfelijkheid. Stuk voor stuk zijn ze vastbesloten de draad van hun leven weer op te pakken.
Maar dan begint het tot de dorpsbewoners door te dringen dat zij niet de enigen zijn die zijn teruggekeerd uit de dood. Want kort daarna wordt het dorp geteisterd door een reeks gruwelijke moorden.
Het ziet ernaar uit dat een seriemoordenaar uit het verleden weer actief is geworden. En het wordt allemaal nog veel vreemder...

The Returned opens in a small mountain community which is rocked to its core when several local people who are presumed dead suddenly re-appear at their homes.
Despite having passed away some years earlier, these ghostly characters appear in human form, they have not aged, and they are completely unaware of their own fatality.
Determined to reclaim their lives and start over, they slowly come to realize that they are not the only ones to have been brought back from the dead.
Their return augers torment for their community when a series of gruesome murders bear a chilling resemblance to the work of a serial killer from the past.
This is a homecoming like no other.

The Horde
A flashback to the date of Camille's reappearance at the dam shows many Revenants also appearing at the same time.
Waking in their car, Victor tells Julie and Laure that a group of Revenants tried to take him from the car in the middle of the night.
On their way to the shelter, Victor discovers that Toni killed his brother, in turn causing his mother's death, and uses his ability to create visions to make Toni shoot himself in the stomach; he dies shortly after arrival.
Simon breaks free from his jail cell and kidnaps his daughter, Chloé.
Thomas arrives at the shelter, and the group realise that there are other Revenants, and that they are coming for them....
