Overview

Resident Evil 2: Platinum Edition (also written Resident Evil 2 (Platinum Edition)), is the title of the PC version of Resident Evil 2.

It doesn't have many changes, one very notable is the new minigame called "Extreme Battle", two new difficulty modes: Rookie Mode where you start with an infinite Machine Gun, and Nightmare Mode, where enemies do more damage as well as weapons.

It does, however have more errors than other versions. For example, there have been reports of problems regarding saving the game, and just like the Dreamcast versions, some rooms have missing soundtracks.
