Three friends share an idyllic time in Malaysia, full of fun, drinks, women and hash. When the vacation is over, two return home, while the third (Phoenix) remains on the tropical paradise with plans to head for Borneo. Two years later, a lawyer (Heche) comes to New York and hunts down the two friends to present them with the disturbing situation. Shortly after they had left the island, police searched their camp and found a 'trafficking' quantity of hash. Phoenix was charged, imprisoned, and is scheduled to be put to death in 8 days. The only way his life can be spared is if the two friends return to paradise and take their share of the responsibilty...
