RiffTrax: The Legend Films Collection
All are Xvid/AVI All 8 RiffTrax B&W "3 riffer" DVD releases, as well as the colorized Legend Films DVDs that contain Mike's original riffs as bonus tracks. All audios have been combined into each respective release (see below), so you can watch your preferred version with either riff or sans commentary. Carnival of Souls (1962) 576x432, 23.97 FPS House on Haunted Hill (1959) 640x464, 23.97 FPS Missile to the Moon (1958) 640x464, 23.97 FPS Night of the Living Dead (1968) 640x464, 23.97 FPS Plan 9 from Outer Space (1959) 640x464, 23.97 FPS Reefer Madness (1936) 720x480, 23.97 FPS Swing Parade (1946) 640x464, 23.97 FPS The Little Shop of Horrors (1960) 640x464, 23.97 FPS Triple Audio --Track 1: Riffed (Mike, Kevin & Bill) --Track 2: Riffed (Mike's original solo riff*) --Track 3: UnRiffed (Just the Movie) *: Mike's original riff for Missile to the Moon featured himself and Fred Willard) KitchenSync RG was created to present high quality synchronized movie riffs, with the following objectives: 1. All videos in AVI format. Nice & simple, plays on pretty much all hardware, and no problems for systems with limited resources. 2. Sound levels are unique for each video, thus all audio is first properly balanced and leveled, and Auto Duck is set to a complementary, moderate level allowing the film's audio to still be heard while making the riffer's voices prominent. (Some syncers prefer to max-out the Auto Duck and effectively mute the film, which some viewers find jarring or distracting.) 3. DisembAudio lines completely removed. 4. Optional UnRiffed audio track retained (non-default). 5. Subs, if available, embedded inside the file. Please feel free to extract the synced audio and apply it to alternate video sources should you prefer other formats. If reposting and sharing these videos elsewhere, please do not remove the on-screen "A KitchenSync RG Release" notation that you may see before the movie begins. It's not about tags or credit, but simply being able to tell different sync jobs apart. This is greatly appreciated. IF YOU ARE UNFAMILIAR WITH RIFFTRAX: RiffTrax is the gang from Mystery Science Theater 3000 (Mike Nelson, Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett) doing what they do best: supplying fun-filled, humorous commentaries for movies. It's known as "riffing," and it has a pretty large, almost "cult" following. If you don't like it, you really should seek he-, er, I mean, switch to audio Track 3 and just watch the films "UnRiffed."
