Description
It was day one hundred and ninety-eight of the post-ESD era. We had
long since taken to alcohol and pharmaceuticals to salve the immutable realities. Through the summer, we had our sunlight, to provide hoaxes of joy amidst the depression. Now, with winter solstice behind us, the clouds bore in, like a permanent cap on our earthly malaise. Each snowflake a little reminder of worthier times. But, somewhere, just far enough in the distance to keep the uncertainty of a mirage, a red hair glistens in the snow. We had come a long way--the captain, the warrior, the mental case, some revolving mercenaries and a whole bunch of strap-hangers. At the end of the year, through hills and valleys, laughter and terror, focalization and heart attacks--we were still alive. They said a prayer under the Moon, facing Manhattan on a Saturday night, and made camp for the holidays. Here's to 2011: The best years are always uncharted. # Ichibans & Christmas songs # Tipping: cash or presents? # Gift-giving # Musicians that are geniuses # What makes a Western? # SSHUAS finale # Black Earl phoner # Steve Tison's Christmas bit Last live R&F of the year & from me. Stay fastidious and seed often! Cheers to the next guy. Sharing Widget |
