To leave the UK’s biggest TV talent show, The X Factor 2013, during the semi-finals must be
a cruel blow indeed and sadly for Rough Copy that was the all too horrible truth.
Yes, during the tensest sing-off of the series so far the losing group sang well against Luke Friend
but it wasn’t enough to win a place in next week’s final and they were sent home after the vote went
to deadlock.
But it does mean we have our finalists – and Sam Bailey, Nicholas McDonald and Luke Friend
will all sing next week to a live audience at Wembley Arena to take home that all important
recording contract.
The show opened with all four acts singing a joint, rocky version of Signed, Sealed,
Delivered I’m Yours where Nicholas really showcased his voice, far better than he had the night before.
In fact they all acquitted themselves well, maybe if their careers don’t work out after the show
they could form a big X Factor 2013 supergroup?
