Mi Casa Su Casa The first time I saw Rush was at our cities Christmas Concert where they always have 4-5 of the Top Bands every Christmas - This was in approx. 1975. Me and my friend watched the entire bands, when all of a sudden the Lights came on as if the show was over, while most fans were walking out, we knew that one band had not played yet, so we waited for a bit and all of a suddden Rush comes onstage, and said they wanted to see the concerts fans, so they left the Arena's lights on and played their entire set with no "colored" stage lights at all. Alex Lifeson was literally banging his body back and forth against the massive speaker enclosures as he played lead guitar, while Rush became the Fans favorite that night. (That is the diehard fans that were not so stoned that knew there was one band left, or maybe the really stoned ones that didn't want to leave lol) You do the math and that's how long Rush has been a Fans Favorite as you can plainly see the Rio Fans singing along with every song 36 years later, wow, most of these fans hadn't even been born yet and here they are really loving Rush more than ever. btw This one is for Neil, (not Peart) he knows why..... :={ "The world weighs on my shoulders But what am I to do? You sometimes drive me crazy But I worry about you I know it makes no difference To what you're going through But I see the tip of the iceberg And I worry about you..." Rush is a Canadian rock band formed in August 1968 in the Willowdale neighbourhood of Toronto, Ontario. The band is composed of bassist, keyboardist, and lead vocalist Geddy Lee, guitarist and backing vocalist Alex Lifeson, and drummer, percussionist, and lyricist Neil Peart. The band and its membership went through several re-configurations between 1968 and 1974, achieving their current form when Peart replaced original drummer John Rutsey in July 1974, two weeks before the group's first United States tour. Since the release of the band's self-titled debut album in March 1974, Rush has become known for its musicianship, complex compositions, and eclectic lyrical motifs drawing heavily on science fiction, fantasy, history, and philosophy. Rush's music style has changed over the years beginning with blues-inspired heavy metal, then encompassing progressive rock and a period with heavy use of synthesizers. Their musical style returned to a more guitar-oriented sound in 1989. Their latest studio album, Clockwork Angels (2012) won the Album Of The Year Award from Progressive Music Awards. "Distant Early Warning" is a song from their 1984 album Grace Under Pressure. It is one of Rush's most well-known songs due to being featured on multiple compilation albums as well as many of their live albums. Lyrics "Distant Early Warning" An ill wind comes arising Across the cities of the plain There's no swimming in the heavy water No singing in the acid rain Red alert Red alert It's so hard to stay together Passing through revolving doors We need someone to talk to And someone to sweep the floors Incomplete Incomplete The world weighs on my shoulders But what am I to do? You sometimes drive me crazy But I worry about you I know it makes no difference To what you're going through But I see the tip of the iceberg And I worry about you... Cruising under your radar Watching from satellites Take a page from the red book Keep them in your sights Red alert Red alert Left and rights of passage Black and whites of youth Who can face the knowledge That the truth is not the truth? Obsolete Absolute The world weighs on my shoulders But what am I to do? You sometimes drive me crazy But I worry about you I know it makes no difference To what you're going through But I see the tip of the iceberg And I worry about you The world weighs on my shoulders But what am I to do? You sometimes drive me crazy But I worry about you I know it makes no difference To what you're going through But I see the tip of the iceberg And I worry about you Absalom Absalom Absalom Video Encode: Frame Width: 720 Frame Height: 416 Data Rate: 2000kbps Total Bitrate: 2696kbps Frame Rate: 29 FPS Audio Encodes: Track I Dolby Pro Logic II Bit Rate: 384kbps Channels 2(stereo) Audio Sample Rate: 48 khz Track 2 5.1 ch Bit Rate: 1536kbps Audio Sample Rate: 48 khz http://kickasstorrents.ee/user/dd53787/uploads/ Related Torrents
