San Francisco (1955 Cinemascope film)

Cinemascope homage to the city of San Francisco made by amateur filmmaker and inventor Tullio Pellegrini.

Review (not by me): I could not stop crying as I watched the video. In 1959 my family moved from Texas to San Francisco. When my dad use to drive the city bus and my mom use to take us to all those places in the video. She especially loves the flowers in Golden Gate park. She never neglected to take us to the beach and Play Land. I have written a book about growing up in San Francisco. I was afraid that as I told about these places no one would ever be able to see the places of which I speak, for many of them do not exist anymore. I loved living in The City. I will always hold fond memories of growing in San Francisco.

Many of these films are silent, therefore this archive is mainly meant for researchers and historians - and for those who love the city.
