Arthur says: 'The only thing I'm out for is a good time. All the rest is propaganda.'

The play sticks closely to the novel. The file opens with a discussion in which
Sillitoe describes the problems he experienced in scripting for radio, and explains
how he was forced to change the plot line for the 1960 film.
