:Plot:
Savaari, the 209 film, and in the bargain warps whatever originality it had managed to come up with. If the first half is a slow journey, the second half has a few quirky plot twists and a comic turn. The film aims for a feel-good end, and you are also glad that it finally ended. The film may do well on television, but on small screen it is a tedious journey.

The 'journey' in this film is forced on the story. Three people travelling in a car takes up half of the screen space, but adds nothing to the actual story. It was done just to justify the title. Though a number of characters tell their tales in flashbacks, the actual story is of two characters played by Kitty and Karnad.
