Fifteen years after being forced to resign from the police for corruption, Jimmy Pritchard is a shadow of the man he once was. One day, as he surprises a burglar in the house of one of his three children, the FBI agent Duval Pritchard, Jimmy was killed, but his death proves short-lived though. Brought back to life in a rejuvenated and improved version of himself, by Mary and Otto Goodwin, two scientists billionaires, the former cop is offered a second chance. Will he grasp it and so undo the harm he did to his family or will he seek revenge on those responsible for his death? And above all, he will manage to avoid the temptations of his past, which have already cost him so much?

Quinze ans après avoir été forcé de démissionner de la police pour corruption, Jimmy Pritchard n'est plus que l'ombre de l'homme qu'il était autrefois. Un jour, alors qu'il surprend un cambriolage dans la maison d'un de ses trois enfants, l'agent du FBI Duval Pritchard, Jimmy est tué, mais sa mort s'avère de bien courte durée. Ramené à la vie, dans une version rajeunie et améliorée de lui-même, par Mary et Otto Goodwin, deux scientifiques milliardaires, l'ancien flic se voit offrir une seconde chance. Saura-t-il la saisir et ainsi réparer le mal qu'il a fait à sa famille, ou va-t-il chercher à se venger de ceux qui sont responsables de sa mort ? Et surtout, parviendra-t-il à éviter les tentations de son passé, qui lui ont déjà tant coûté ?
