Na de dood van haar moeder probeert Penny Chenery de paardenfokkerij van haar ouders
draaiende te houden. Ze ontslaat de paardentrainer en neemt zelf de leiding van de stoeterij
op zich. Penny haalt een nieuwe trainer in huis, de excentrieke Lucien Laurin, en krijgt het
veulen waar ze haar zinnen op had gezet. Zo wordt de fokkerij eigenaar van Secretariat, een
hengst die mogelijk de redding van het noodlijdende bedrijf kan betekenen. Zeer tegen de zin
van haar man in neemt Penny het heft verder in handen en samen met Lucien zet de voormalige huisvrouw de wereld van de paardenraces volledig op z'n kop.

Real-life movie about horse Penny Chenery, the owner of the racehorse Secretariat, in

After the death of her mother, Penny Chenery horse breeding attempts of her parents running.
They release the horse and trainer will take the lead from the stud itself. Penny gets a new
coach in the house, the eccentric Lucien Laurin, and get the foal she had put her heart on.
Thus the owner of Secretariat breeding, a stallion that might be the salvation of the ailing
company can do. Much against the will of her husband takes Penny to handle further held
together with Lucien puts the former wife of the horse racing world completely upside down.
