Comment: Most (99%) of these episodes were encoded a while back with x265 v1.4 in Handbrake. They have been sitting around gathering dust for months until I finally finished off the extras on DVD 3 in Avisynth / x265 v1.6 with QAAC for audio.

The audio for the older episodes was encoded with Handbrakes default AAC encoder. I have no idea how it compares to Nero or QAAC in terms of efficiency, but the high bitrate used should ensure high quality.
