Wer seine Bilder, Musik und Videos auf dem heimischen Windows-Rechner gerne auf andere DLNA-fähige Netzwerk-Geräte streamen möchte, erhält mit Serviio eine starke kostenlose Software-Lösung. Serviio ist in der Lage, viele verschiedene Datenformate (auch HD-Inhalte) auf Fernseher, PS3, XBOX360 oder Android- und iOS-Geräte mit entsprechender DLNA-Software zu streamen. Um jedes Gerät optimal zu versorgen, hält die Software verschiedene Hardwareprofile bereit und rechnet Videos bei Bedarf auch während der Wiedergabe in ein unterstütztes Format um. Wie viele CPU-Kerne Serviio dabei zur Verfügung stehen sollen, können Sie selbst bestimmen. Hinweis: Serviio installiert sich automatisch als Pro-Version, die sie 15 Tage kostenlos nutzen können und dann automatisch zur Free-Version wird. In der Pro-Version können Sie zusätzlich noch einen Medienbrowser nutzen und den Server über das Internet erreichen und administrieren. Dazu gibt es auch nutzbare Android-Apps. Serviio is a free media server. It allows you to stream your media files (music, video or images) to renderer devices (e.g. a TV set, Bluray player, games console or mobile phone) on your connected home network. With each new installation of Serviio you are granted a 15 day evaluation of Serviio Pro - an extended edition of your favourite media server. It has some nice features which the free edition lacks. After the evaluation period expires, it will revert back to the free edition automatically. To keep the Pro features, you will need to purchase the Pro edition license.
