Seventh Wonder is the creation of bass player Andreas Blomqvist, guitarist Johan Liefvendahl and drummer Johnny Sandin. These three fellows had been together in a previous power metal outfit called Mankind, until that band fell apart in 2000.



The new vision was to create music that was as fun to play as it was to listen to. An enormous span of influences ranging from the smoothest AOR to the hardest thrash and the important soliciting of keyboard player Andreas Söderin gave Seventh Wonder their now trademark sound.



The band themselves like to describe their music as "a mix of the powerful choruses and strong melody lines of the eighties, combined with the heavy and intricate progressive metal of modern days".



After two extremely well received demos, Seventh Wonder was signed to Lion Music in 2004 and under that flag recorded their debut album 'Become' which was released in June 2005. The reception of this album was tremendous and landed the band a management deal with Intromental in 2005.



Since the start of the band a vast number of singers have come and gone, including the likes of Ola Halén of Insania and Andi Kravljaca of Elsesphere, but no one really fit. No one, until young Tommy Karevik was offered the spot and took the band by storm.



In early 2006 the band recorded their second album, "Waiting In The Wings" - once again production duties were taken care of by Daniel Flores back home in Sweden, but the band ventured across the sea to Denmark where Tommy Hansen (a.o. Helloween, Pretty Maids, TNT) took care of mix and mastering. The release of this awesome disc will be in August 2006.



Seventh Wonder has truly found its own path and following the strong and powerful voice of Tommy with the mature song writing behind -there's no telling where Seventh Wonder will end up. But make no mistake - You don't want to miss it!
