Shaolin Spreads Across America (2001-2002) The new millennium brought more tours and more monks to America. One of the most spectacular was Shaolin Wheel of Life. Created by a British company in 1999, this was a spectacular stage show that set demonstrations of Shaolin kung fu within a professionally choreographed music and dance performance. Later, through this show, Venerable Abbot Shi Yongxin met with the Queen of England. Then, after touring Europe, it made its way to America by late 2002. The show was very well received, selling out houses across the country. Additionally, it was showcased on the prestigious Public Broadcasting Station program, Great Performances.
