Sleep Sex - My Shocking Story

Sleep sex or sexsomnia is a form of non-rapid eye movement (NREM) parasomnia (similar to sleepwalking) that causes people to engage in sexual acts while they are asleep.



This film follows four different people whose lives have been devastated by the sleep condition ‘sexsomania’ - a sleeping disorder over which they have no control.

George has violent sex with his partner while he is sleeping and it's tearing their relationship apart. Carly, a young woman from mid-America, is a compulsive masturbator and it's destroying her relationship with her husband. One sufferer of sexsomania ended up in a court of law, after he had full sex with the lady while asleep and later she made a report to the police for rape.

For Londoner Nick, sleepsex is at the moment a bonus, but he's just beginning to realize the potential consequences.
