I never thought I could say SlipKnoT could sound rather warm and dynamic, they barely even fatigue my ears after half a track anymore.
Too sad that the prices of these releases have gone through the roof. But at least someone took the time to share it, so, whether or not you've even ripped these, thanks for this. :)
I must add, I do actually have 3 out of 4 CDs of this, so I definitely support the record-sales and all that, and I would've paid double for them (or the Vinyl records in this case) if they sounded like this. But I have no choice but to stick with this. I'm done with the CDs, I'm not going to bother my ears any more. Seriously, F that... Man, if I only knew well-mastered releases existed earlier.
Anyway, I'll shut up. hah
PS: If anyone cares about audio-quality, or especially quality in terms of dynamics and detail and so on (AND your hearing for that matter), get this version, and also check out this website: http://dr.loudness-war.info/album/list?artist=slipknot&album=
It contains information about the dynamic values of record-releases, and this is important to get rid of a thing called the Loudness War. Please choose for quality in audio!
